More examples of how thin a cycle lane track could be

Visual intrusion is one of the big objections to a monorail. This shows how minimal a cycle based system could be. Again a real system would be flat have some 'pod' to improve aerodynamics & cover and pedals naturally.

OK I'm not actually suggesting your have such a 'ride' as part of your journey to work ( but I think someone is ) . This does show

1. The visual impact of a cycle mono-rail would be minimal ( see how far the cable goes with out towers. 
2. The inherent cost is low ( look at the size of the twin cables - ok they are sized for one person ) 
3. People are good with heights( if it's safe enough )
